I picked up this lovely vintage highchair on craigslist for only TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS! Say it with me TWEN TY FIVE BUCKS! Yahoo!! You should have seen my guy's face when I showed it to him.. Me? I was grinning ear to ear. Him? A look of "what the hell are you thinking? That thing is uglier than ugly!" But as always, I assured him to wait until I got some paint on it. Once again, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint was the paint of choice..non toxic, water based, and the super plus is that the hardened wax is easy to clean of sticky messes which are sure to be here in no time. Painting all those spindles, legs and arms was very tedious, but once I had it all covered a time or two I was ready to "highlight" by adding a soft peachy pink acrylic to the hand carved details. What do you think? Did I mention this highchair was only $25? ;)
